The SSOTN Spring Smackdown series event will be held at Norwalk Raceway Park, Norwalk, Ohio, on Friday, May 23, 2003. Racing will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with Norwalk's normal test and tune to follow. We will be running test and tune sessions all day and selected "grudge" matches in the afternoon. There are quite a few fast cars already signed up. This includes: modular, pushrod, blown, n/a and even a couple of GN's and LS1's. There will be no lack of competition if you are looking for a grudge match!?!

SIDE NOTE: Norwalk Raceway Park is famous for it's "hook". Come prepared!!!

Pricing for the event is $40.00 for racing and NO spectator/crew fee. There will be one of the refreshment stands open all day.  Nothing has been settled yet, but we are working on getting a photographer to take pictures at the event.  There will be no official tech at this event. We will, however, expect you to come prepared with the safety equipment and adhere to the safety regulations that match your car' ET's. You will also be required to sign a waiver as you would any other day of racing.

There is no official hotel for this event as most of the participants are relatively close and do not choose to stay. However, if you are traveling long distance and desire help with getting a room, contact me, Ben Dorn (MODCOBRA) for assistance.  There will be a driver's meeting at 9:15.  At this time, rules and sequencing of events will be discussed. This event is very informal with no hard and fast rules.  We're there to have fun!

Some of the racer's are going to Cedar Point the following day. This may be the finest amusement part in the world. They are also advertising the tallest roller coaster in the world at over 400' with speeds of 120 MPH!!!! You may want to take advantage of this as the park is only about 20 minutes from the track.
