| Planned future mods |
2005 Mustang Cobra
| Original Goal for car |
Originally wanted to make it a show car, then I met Rich Nagle and here I am.
| Present Goal for Car |
Not break it. No more mods. I am waiting for the 05's
| Reason for buying car |
I owned a 84 Mustang from the time I was 16 until I got the bug for a Convertible 4WD when I was 23 and sold it for a 94 Wrangler. Several family cars and two kids later I needed to get back into a Mustang. About 2 ½ years ago I set out looking for a 94-98 Cobra Vert, and stumbled upon this. It was clean and priced right and I figured I would be showing it, not racing it.
| Other cars you considered buying: |
I am going to be looking for an old Jeep CJ this summer and I have always planned on buying a 67 Fast Back and turning it into a Cobra (cheaper that way, and I won't feel guilty driving it)

| Shout outs to people that helped you achieve these goals |
First I would like to wife for tolerating my hobby. Then my Father (although a Vette guy), he instilled the love of musle cars in me at a very young age. Next would be Rich Nagle for introducing me to SSOTN. Actually everyone I have met in the club has been very helpful, so thank you to anyone that has helped me along the way. I would especially like to thank Bill Tumas, Mike Mohring, Brian Kirk, Bob Lunner and Glenn Sullivan for all of their help over the years (and recently).
| Best time |
13.83 @ 98.7MPH with a 1.9 60'
| Do you have any regrets along the way? |
My biggest regret is not asking enough questions. I have made a lot of what I would consider mistakes along the way. I would read about something or ask one person their opinion and make a decision to do something. Had I asked to club in general I'd have made a different choice in some cases. This club is full of valuable information and it took me a while to start taking advantage of it.
| What was or is your favorite vehicle to this day and why? |
I would have to go with a Hummer. Not the new H2's either. The Hummer is the ultimate SUV. It is huge, goes anywhere, has self inflating tires, bullet proof glass, can go almost completely underwater and can withstand the blast from land mine. What else do you need?
| What was your main reason was for becoming a part of the internets first and best mustang club? |
Rich Nagle. I met Rich at a local Mustang Club meeting and he had spoken of the SSOTN NATS and how to get involved. After my first NATS, I was hooked (no more shows for me). I read a lot of the post but did not post much, mostly because I didn't really meet too many people my first time at the NATS. For my second NATS I made it a point to stay at the Crystal Inn and got to put faces to names. I have been active ever since.
| What do you do for enjoyment besides street racing? |
I love coaching and helping my girls sports teams. I used to be a competitive Volleyball player, but a series of injuries have kept me off the court for the better part of 9 months with no immediate return in site. I also enjoy fishing; only I don't get that go as often anymore. If I have 20 minutes left in the day I might squeeze some time in on the PS2.
| Who is your biggest rival on the track, and why? |
Rich Nagle (again). We always have the closest races. No matter how good or bad we are doing during the day, we know we can always line up and expect a great race.
| What upcoming events in 2003 do you plan on racing in if any? |
Both NATS and possibly the Ford Nationals at Maple Grove
| One last question, What is your favorite part of SSOTN, and why? |
I would have to go sappy and say the friends I have made. The people on this site are great. When you need help they are there for you. There are friends that I have made through this site that I will probably still be friends with when I am 65 and we are racing hovercraft.
| We thank you for your time, and wish you the best in whatever you decide to do in the future. |
