If you don't recall my dog post months back when Sky went from 65 lbs to 42lbs. It's been a stressful 4 months, but she has made her way back to 61 lbs and hopefully counting.

My worries about her were something you wouldn't believe. She was basically starving because she could not  produce enough enzymes to digest her food. So after switching her to a high protein no carb food, and adding pork enzymes every feeding she has kicked ass.

I need to get her back to 65 or 70lbs and maintain it for 3 months before we can start training again

Glad she is doing better.  You narrowed it down to being something that was in the old food right?

She is a beautiful dog!  My 6 month old yellow lab is 52 lbs already and as tall as my black lab. She is going to be huge.

This is about 3 months ago:

Thanks Matt! And those are good looking labs! sounds like the pup is going to be big.

I suspect the previous food is to blame for her condition. Her pancreas got damaged so it can't produce enough enzymes to digest it.

I have to add porcine based enzymes to her food to predigest it. I also have her on Evo red meat dry food.

It's expensive but worth it. And the enzymes are not cheap either. I order generic on the internet. 8 oz is 42.00 shipped compared to 90.00 from the ver and 8 oz doesn;t last long. I recently ordered a kilo for 132.00 shipped since that is more cost effective.

I'm just happy she made a turn around, I really thought I was going to lose her to this.
