SN95 Mustang Fan and Variflow Fan Controller By Adam Dugger (Misc. Tech Section)

The Variflow allows the user to customize his or her preferences into the unit.
You can select from the following options:

Air Conditioning - You can set the fan to come on with the air conditioning, much like OEM on most cars.

Ignition switch - You can have the fan turn off when ignition is turned off, or it will ramp down according to engine temperature after the key is turned off.

Toggle switch - You can use a toggle switch to bypass the Variflow and turn the fan full on whenever you want.

Min fan speed - You can see the minimum fan speed at 25% regardless of temperature.

Temp adjustment - You can change the factory set adjustment temp of 165-205° F to ~180 - 220°F.

For me, I chose the AC option, and fan ramping down after ignition turned on. I spliced into the power wire to the AC compressor and routed that lead to PIN#2 on the Variflow.

The output lines from the Variflow are heavy duty 10 gauge, and splice perfect into the factory harness to the fan using the two outer pins. If you hook up your fan and it spins backwards, reverse the wiring to the fan and you should be all set.

Here are some pics of the finished install.
