| Welcome to The Quest.
You are probably asking yourself, “what exactly is The Quest?” In
this segment I will answer that exact question.
When I was first offered the position of Staff Writer, it was explained to me that I would have to do a write up once a month on any topic I like and also be the Moderator of the Track Tips section of the message board. The first question I asked myself was, “Could I bring anything special to the readers and staff of the site?” After contemplating for a while what my goals are, I came to my conclusion. I decided my dedication to my car and achieving my goals would help others through my triumphs, failures and gained knowledge. After coming to this conclusion, I graciously and proudly accepted the position I was offered. In my monthly article, there will be various topics I will cover. Sometimes I will cover technical information and installation of performance products, while other times I will write about my recent accomplishments and failures. I was given quite a bit of leeway on what my column will cover, so the aforementioned topics are not what I am limited to (although, I assure you, the whereabouts and current situation of Elian Gonzales will not be covered). My current car is a White 98 Saleen S281 (4.6L SOHC engine). As you can imagine, most of the tech articles and product installations will be for this specific car and engine. You can see this car in the Featured Member Section (April ’00) of this site. What if you don't own a 4.6L SOHC car? What if this car does not interest you at all? Well, rest assured that the information that will be in my column could benefit you. I will be doing various modifications to the chassis and suspension of my car that is universal to most Fox body and SN-95 Mustangs. I also have various future plans that include building a 4.6L DOHC motor/car. This is not definite, but it is something I would like to venture into. If you are a Windsor fan, I also have various friends and family members that race these motors as well. From them, I will try to bring some good information and try my best to help you on your quests. I have very high goals that I have set for myself. Some of them I will accomplish, while others may be set on the back burner for a while, or I may just completely fail at my attempts to achieve these goals. All of these triumphs and failures combined will make up MY QUEST. I know that every enthusiast has goals of his or her own. I also know that, as a reader, you would like to be informed about what will help you on your goals. So in an effort to help you, I am always open to comments, suggestions, and all other input you might have to better your reading experience. You can send these comments and suggestions to sadkins@superstallions.com. Thank you for taking the time to read this segment. I hope that I will bring helpful information to the members of this organization. Sincerely, Sean Adkins |
